The surf rock giants The Ventures release "Wild Again-The New Adventures of The Ventures"-a collection of 19 classic songs ala Ventures on GNP Crescedo Records. Earlier, GNP Crescendo Records re-leased "Surfing," the classic album, on CD. Don Wilson, founding member of the best-selling instrumental band in Rock & Roll history said, "These recordings are songs we have always wanted to record but never got around to it." Recorded last year, this is the last recording with Mel Taylor, the Ventures veteran drummer who passed away last August. The legacy continues with Leon Taylor, Mel’s son, caring on the tradition.

The Ventures, best known for "Hawaii Five-O and "Walk Don’t Run," inspired generations of surfers to ride the waves and is also credited with "Surf Rider" used in the blockbuster movie "Pulp Fiction."

The Ventures’ legendary drums and guitars have always been synonymous with instrumental hits. Billboard has listed The Ventures in the top 10 artist of the decade from 1960-1969. Rock greats from Anthrax to Stevie Ray Vaughn attribute The Ventures as their musical inspiration.

"Wild Again" is a 19-track collection of classics performed by the world’s undisputed greatest instrumental band performing classic songs.   "Wild Again" contains the hits "The James Bond Theme," The Lonely Surfer" and their won rendition, "Beethoven Five-O." Also featured is the chart-busting classic "Wipe Out" and a Ventures Surf Medley which is certain to ignite the summer. As an added bonus, an interview with The Ventures conducted by album producer Neil Norman is also included. Norman has also produced albums for Dick Dale, The Surfaris and other legendary bands.
